A high energy production which incorporated live music and film to convey the themes of restlessness and wanderlust, Nomads was the first collaboration between Earthfall and the virtuoso cellist Ben Davis. Girl Standing By The Lake was the result of a commission by Cardiff International Festival to create a work celebrating women in the arts. The production, which was premiered in Cardiff's Coal Exchange in 1994, involved dance and live music performed on a platform made up of 4.5 tonnes of coal.
