The transcript was made at the County Offices, Ruthin, in November 1936. Inset are a typewritten copy of the article on the award by W. Lloyd Davies which appeared in the Bulletin of the Board of Celtic Studies, Vol. IX, pp. 247-71, and a 'pull' of the map accompanying the article.

Garner-Evans MP, the formation of an electoral pact between the National Liberals and the Conservatives in the Denbigh division in 1948-49, and the ensuing general election there in February 1950. Some of the letters discuss political issues of national importance. Garner-Evans represented the Denbighshire constituency as a National Liberal and Conservative MP from 1950 until 1959.
