History of Denbigh

A scrap-album compiled, 1936-1938, by R. D. Roberts containing press cuttings and other printed items, photographs and engravings, 1808-1938, relating to the town of Denbigh and its history, together with notes by the compiler and Arthur Foulkes-Roberts. Included are bills, 1842-1860, from local doctors and a chemist (pp. 46a-47, 110), and press cuttings from The Free Press, 4-18 February 1911, of a series of articles by A. Foulkes-Roberts entitled 'Denbigh Archives' (pp. 3-31).

Foulkes-Roberts, The Lordship of Denbighland (Denbigh, 1898), with historical and genealogical notes in the hand of R. D. Roberts in the margins and on many of the interleaves; photographs, press cuttings and other printed items, 1902-1937, relating to Denbigh are pasted or tipped in the volume.

A partially interleaved copy of John Williams (Glanmor), Ancient and Modern Denbigh ... (Denbigh, 1856), with an index by R. D. Roberts (between pp. 356-7) and historical and genealogical notes in his hand in the margins and on many of the interleaves. Photographs, bookplates, press cuttings and other printed items, [late 18 cent.]-1938, relating to Denbigh, together with a letter, 1922, to R. D. Roberts from John Hubert Aloysius Dormer (between pp. 36-37), are pasted or tipped in the volume.
