There are a few entries by Peter Bailey Williams (1821), and also by St Geo[rge] Armstrong Williams, who has included a short biography of Lewis Morris.

A volume entitled 'Gweithiau Lewis Morris. Llywelyn Ddu o Fôn', being transcripts and extracts made by J. H. Davies, c. 1902, from manuscripts in the British Museum and the National Library of Wales. The collection also contains poetry in strict and free metres by Sion Tomas Owen ('y Gwehydd o Fodedern'), Michael Prichard ('mab chochydd [sic] Llanllyfni'), Sion Rhydderch, Rhist. Roberts ('clochydd Llanddeusant'), Huw Huws ('o Lwydiarth Esgob ym Mon'), and W. Wynn; 'Rhybudd i Wenno [Translation of Darby & Joan]' by Roger Edwards ('offeiriad Llanaber ym Meirionydd'); a calendar of the Lewis Morris MS designated NLW MS 604; and 'Young Mends the Clothier's Sermon', a satire by Lewis Morris on Methodist preachers, from NLW MS 67, pp. 51-70. A small eighteenth century manuscript containing a few 'englynion', etc., by John Griffith 'o Landdyfnan yn Môn', Owen Gruffydd, J. Rhydderch, Griffith Lloyd, and anonymous authors, with two anecdotes in Welsh. The name 'L. Morris' occurs beneath the anecdotes and the manuscript appears to be for the most part in the hand of Lewis Morris ('Llewelyn Ddu o Fôn').

Inset is a printed copy of a circular letter from Thomas Stephens as honorary secretary of the Merthyr Cymreigyddion Society, 184 . . ., announcing the society's intention of holding an eisteddfod on (blank), stating what the objectives of the society were, and asking for subscriptions.

The remainder is in several hands of the late seventeenth or early eighteenth century. There are copious annotations by William Maurice and some additions and annotations by Cadwaladr Dafydd, Llanymowddwy (1747) and L[ewis] Morris ('Llewelyn Ddu o Fôn', 1701-65).

Yr hwn Grwth a Aing ynddaw Swrn o Orchestawl Waith y Cynfeirdd, ac Ychydig o Farddoniaeth yr oes hon'. The collection was compiled by Hugh Jones, Esqr., of Talyllyn, and was begun by him about 1730. A manuscript index to J. H. Davies (ed.), The Letters of Lewis, Richard, William and John Morris of Anglesey (Morrisiaid Môn) (Aberystwyth, 1907-9) compiled for J. H. Davies by T. Vaughan Roberts, London and completed in 1911. The general index (420 pp.) is followed by lists of 'Words and phrases characteristic of the Morrises or illustrating forms commonly used by them' and 'Books, Pamphlets, Manuscripts & Poems referred to', references to 'Trades & Professions', and a number of corrections. Other items ('Removed from the manuscript before it was sent to Mr Jenkin James, January 7, 1931') consist of a letter, 1911, from the compiler, T. Vaughan Roberts to J. H. Davies, and a letter, 1902, from John Ballinger, Cardiff to J. H. Davies enclosing notes and items of verse (mainly by Lewis Morris) copied by J. Ifano Jones from 'an imperfect copy of Dr John Davies's Dictionary, 1632, once the property of Lewis Morris' and from copies of [Huw Jones], Diddanwch Teuluaidd (Llundain, 1763) which belonged to John William Prichard, Plas-y-brain and Nicholas Bennett respectively.

A manuscript volume with the title 'AMRYW' in gold lettering on the spine. Written throughout by William Owen [-Pughe], the manuscript contains transcripts of parts of two older manuscripts, the one in the hand of Lewis Morris [B.M. Add. MS 14908, ff. 36-58], and the other in the hand of Owen Jones, 'Owain Myfyr' [B.M. Add. MS 15020, pp. 1-5, 7-12, 27-8, 33- 5, 44-5, 52-8, 67-70, 93-107, 109-15, 117-23]. In a note on the aforementioned 'title-page' (p. 199) Edward Williams claims to have transcribed this collection in 1799 from a manuscript in the possession of Siams Thomas of Maerdy Newydd, co. Glamorgan. Preceding and following the actual text of the collection are transcripts of a prefatory letter dated 1685 (pp. 201-06) and of the concluding note already referred to (p. 390) both of which are attributed to the Glamorgan scribe and copyist Thomas ab Iefan of Tre Bryn as compiler of the manuscript from which Edward Williams was allegedly copying (see TLLM, t. 172; IM, tt. 291-4). Pp. 391-477 contain a transcript of a collection, in alphabetical order, of over three thousand Welsh proverbs attributed to Cattwg Ddoeth ('Llyma Ddiarhebion Cattwg Ddoeth . . . sef yw hwnn Ail Lyfr y Gwyddfardd Cyvarwydd'). This collection, according to the aforementioned note at the end of the preceding section (p. 390) attributed to Thomas ab Iefan, had been compiled by the said Thomas from various sources and formed a continuation of the previous section. Edward Williams's claim with regard to the Siams Thomas volume is probably intended to apply to the contents of pp. 391-477 as well. The contents of pp. 199-390 have been published in The Myvyrian Archaiology of Wales . . ., vol. III (London, 1807), pp. 1-99.

A manuscript consisting largely of transcripts and memoranda by Mary Richards and Thomas Richards of Darowen. The volume appears originally to have been used as an account book of receipts and disbursements in respect of the farms of Llwyn, Cafnmaelen and Byrthlwydd [parish of Dolgellau, Merioneth], 1799-1802, and also to record biographies of [James Crichton, 'The Admirable'], Sir Francis Walsingham, Sir Francis Drake and William Cecil, Lord Burghley. 'Gossodedigaetheu a Messureu y Deyrnas, Cantrevi a Chymydeu Kymry', being a list of hundreds, commotes and other geographical divisions within Wales. At the end of every division is a list of its castles.
The list of 'Cantreds and Commotes of Wales' (p. 5) agrees practically with the one in Peniarth MS 163.
