A volume in the hand of Evan Evans (Ieuan Fardd) consisting mostly of commentary, by Robert Vaughan, Hengwrt, on Welsh triads, in particular the 'Keyreu'. The views of William Camden on various subjects and places are rebutted, and there are numerous references to, and quotations from, early geographers and historians. The text is apparently left unfinished.

James I, the contents of antiquarian interest, being mostly concerned with Druidism and early British history (ff. 25-49); a list of the contents of the White Book of Hergest (f. 68) and transcripts of parts of it (ff. 69-74); a list of the hundreds, commotes and parishes of Wales (ff. 87-110); and various other extracts, etc.

A manuscript, 1773-1774, in the hand of Evan Evans (Ieuan Fardd) containing notes on a Welsh chronicle from Adam to Cadwaladr Fendigaid (ff. 1-62), originally written, with notes, by John Jones, Gellilyfdy, in 1622 (see f. 1), and which seemingly includes Hanes Taliesin (ff. 26-48) (cf. Peniarth MS 111, p. 1); an account of a Latin manuscript of Brut Tysilio, etc., (ff. 63-72) 'which now belongs to Doctor Treadway Nash, near Bevere, Worcester, 1773, bought out of the library of the late Mr. Lewis Morris of Penbryn in Cardiganshire' (see f. 63); a copy of an Edward Lhuyd letter, including the inscription on the Eliseg stone (ff. 73-77); and various other extracts (ff. 78-95 verso). On f. 97 is a note by D[afydd] Ddu.

On p. 1 is a list of contents, stated to have been copied from the library of Watkin Williams Wynn. The text of the Life of Gruffydd ap Cynan, including notes, printed in Myvyrian Archaiology of Wales Vol. II, pp. 582-605, is taken wholesale from this manuscript.

A transcript, 1774 (2043iB, f. 131 verso), by Evan Evans (Ieuan Fardd) of a copy of 'Brut y Tywysogion' which had been made for William Maurice, Llansilin in 1672.

A manuscript, in two parts, in the hand of Evan Evans (Ieuan Fardd). The first part (old foliation 1-56) contains a dedication to Sir Watkin Williams Wynn of Wynnstay and a dedicatory preface in which it is stated that this transcript was made from the exemplar of William Maurice of Cefn y Braich 'in tua Bibliotheca Lanvordaviana' (pp. 3-12), and an address to the reader which relates to the sources of the collection (pp. 17-95); Gruffudd Hiraethog's 'Lloegr-drigiant Ddifyrrwch Brytannaidd Gymro' (pp. 97-109; cf. Peniarth MS 155); and a copy of the Latin and Welsh prefaces as printed before the Proverbs in the Dictionarium Duplex of Dr John Davies, 1632 (pp. 110-112). The second part (old foliation 1-316) contains 'Adagia Britannica' or Welsh proverbs collected by 'yr Hên Gyrys o Jal', with translations into Latin and some illustrative notes by Dr John Davies, Mallwyd, copied from the transcript made by William Maurice of Llansilin 'ex prototypo' in 1675 (this collection is fuller than that printed at the end of Dr Davies's Dictionary) (pp. 113-654); followed by 'Cas bethau gwyr Rhufain' and 'Cas ddynion Selyf Ddoeth', etc. (pp. 655-680); further material from the 'Lloegr-drigiant Ddifyrrwch Brytannaidd Gymro' of Gruffudd Hiraethog (pp. 689-733); etc.

Crane's paraphrase of the 45th psalm, 1774 (pp. 49-57); and transcripts of the charters of the Lord Rhys and King Henry II to the abbey of Strata Florida (pp. 58-68).

A manuscript, in the hand of Evan Evans (Ieuan Fardd), containing 'Cerddwriaeth Simwnt Fychan' (ff. 1-43 verso, first sequence) and the 'Rhetoreg' of William Salesbury, which was originally a translation of a Latin treatise on rhetoric (ff. 1-47, second sequence).
There are copious references to the source materials for both parts, the names mentioned including John Jones, Gellilyfdy, William Maurice and Roger Morris (ff. 1 (first sequence), 46 verso (second sequence)). A note by Ieuan Fardd states that he transcribed these works in 1776 (f. 46 verso). For Simwnt Fychan's 'Cerddwriaeth' see also Peniarth MS 159 and Jesus College MS 9.

An essay on the pleasures of the imagination written in 1776 or 1777 by Paul Panton, junior, and read before the Speculative Society at Edinburgh (ff. 1-15); and an incomplete essay on the Genoese War [by Paul Panton, senior] (pp. 1-68).

A manuscript, 1777, mostly in the hand of Ieuan Fardd, containing 'Antiquitatum Parochialium Libellus at calcem perductus circa annum 1710. transcriptus a G[uilelmo] M[orris] 1726. The volume includes a chapter on Bellum Mariscum [Beaumaris] (ff. 173 verso-183 verso), which was omitted when Antiquitates Parochialis was printed in Archaeologia Cambrensis, vols I-IV (1846-1849) (NLW MS 2004iB).
