There are many references to columns in newspapers and to articles in journals, some of them edited by O. M. Edwards. Several letters refer to the vacancies in the parliamentary representation of Merionethshire following the premature death of Thomas Edward Ellis MP in April 1899 and the subsequent decision of O. M. Edwards to retire in 1900.
