Letters and other papers relating to the Polish pianist, Auguste de Radwan, 1926-1959. The bulk comprises a large number of personal letters from Radwan to Marjorie Howell (later Lady Pryse), tracing the course of their love affair and Radwan’s career as a concert pianist based in Paris, moving in the elite circles of European society, 1926-1959. Other items include Radwan’s wallet [1926x1957], letters to Marjorie Pryse concerning Radwan, 1941-1959, and a printed article by Radwan about the life of Chopin, 1949.
