Note

First published in 1970, Planet is a quarterly cultural and political magazine published in Aberystwyth. It looks at Wales from an international perspective, and at the world from the standpoint of Wales. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Planet_(magazine); https://www.planetmagazine.org.uk/)

Emily Trahair, editor of cultural and political magazine Planet, joined the publication team in 2006. She has a background in international politics and a masters in Postcolonial Politics from the University of Wales Aberystwyth. She has written particularly on Welsh forms of internationalism, ethical dilemmas in solidarity protest and on the interface between political writing and fiction. Having attended art school, she also takes a keen interest in the visual arts. (https://www.planetmagazine.org.uk/staff)

Anglo-Welsh poet and writer Dylan Thomas was born in the Uplands area of Swansea. His works include the poems 'Do not go gentle into that good night' and 'Fern Hill', the collection of prose titled 'Portrait of the Artist as a Young Dog', the autobiographical story 'A Child's Christmas in Wales', which was broadcast on radio, and perhaps Thomas's best-known work, the 'play for voices' titled 'Under Milk Wood'. Richard Wilson was an influential and pioneering landscape painter who worked in both Britain and Italy. In December 1768 Wilson became one of the founder-members of the Royal Academy. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Wilson_(painter))

Peter Lord is an English sculptor and art historian based in Wales. He is best known for his books and television programmes about the history of Welsh art, being regarded as a leading authority on the subject. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Lord_(art_historian))
