Biographical history
Arthur Foulkes-Roberts (1864-1941) of Denbigh was a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries, Denbigh. He and his brother R.D. Roberts transcribed various parish registers, tombstone inscriptions, church memorials, probate, episcopal and diocesan records, mostly from Denbighshire and Flintshire.

Roberts and his cousin, Arthur Foulkes-Roberts, on some of the books previously in the library of their grandfather, John Foulkes, Llechryd, Llanefydd, Denbighshire, including details relating to the provenance of the books; also included are memoranda relating to the families of Foulkes of Llechryd and Roberts of Foxhall, Henllan, Denbighshire.
