Scope and content

A loose-leaf clip file containing references to the Quakers, arranged in alphabetical order. The list of the names of 'Glamorgan Friends 1650 [1654] - 1900 (MFW 1950)' is taken from the University of Wales MA Thesis by Margaret Fay Williams, 1950, on 'The Society of Friends in Glamorgan, 1650 - 1900'. There are a number of letters and loose papers, including a booklet by David Jones of Swansea, The Quakers of Swansea and Neath (Caxton Press, Swansea, [1936]), with a letter from the author, a note by J. R. Hughes, 1946, on 'Historic Quaker Spots - Milford Haven (Aber Daugleddau)', and a typewritten schedule of deeds and documents belonging to the South Division of Wales Monthly Meeting of the Society of Friends, [1933].
