Scope and content

M. Chapman-walker, TWW Ltd, Independent Television for South Wales and the West of England, 30 Bouverie Street, London EC4. Wishes to give a progress report on their 'troubled affairs in Wales'. Outlines the progress of the application for Pontcanna Farm, and the proposed erection of the mast. The Minister for Housing and Local Government and Wales has decided to hold a Local Enquiry into the application by the Independent Television Authority for the erection of the mast at St Hilary. It is possible that the mast could be located in Somerset although the studios will be in Wales. Intends to press on with the Cardiff Studio. For reply see A2/122.
