Original bundle comprising mainly final concords and exemplifications of fine levied to members of the Pryse family, which have become separated from the relevant deeds. The parties include John Pryse, 1567-1584, Richard Pryse, 1596-1617, Gwenllian Pryse, 1630, Sir Richard Pryse, 1653, Edward Pryse, 1715/16, Thomas Pryse, 1724- 1726, and others, for properties in the parishes and townships of Llanbadarn Fawr, Aberystwyth, Llanfihangel Genau’r-glyn (Llanfihangel Castell Gwallter), Llangynfelyn, Llanbadarn Odwyn, Llanddewibrefi, the commote of Pennardd, and the manors of Caron and Llangeitho, Cardiganshire; the manor of Carno, Peniarth and other townships, Montgomeryshire; Cefnrhos, Nannau, ?Castlegynfawr, and Llwyngwril, Merioneth. The file also contains a gift to Wyllyam ap John Voya of property in Aberystwyth, 1494; a bond by Evan of David ap Ieuan Madog and Kathryng vch Rees, to Rees ap David for possession of Tythen Cathryng, Llanbadarn Fawr, 1556; and an inspeximus of proceedings in the Court of the Exchequer against Eynon Phillips, mayor of Cardigan, Henry Stedman, bailiff, and Nicholas Gwynn, bailiff, for non-attendance at the Quarter Sessions at Llanbadarn Fawr, held before John Price, 1585.
