Some time back I sent a letter from the Nawab Sahib and a letter-bag from Nawab Wazir al-Mumalik. The two harkarahs who had brought this letter-bag are staying here and are waiting for your reply. I will be grateful if you could send them the reply so that they can return.
Perhaps you remember that when you visited this place you promised that when you would reach Murshidabad you would have the title deeds of Nalah and Maldah districts signed and sealed in my name by the Nawab Mir Muhammad Jafar Khan Bahadur. I had sent two of my men to accompany you so that they could bring back these documents to me. I have not received these documents until now. I hear that the Nawab is coming to this province on 17 Muharram and would most probably visit Calcutta. It may be a good opportunity to ask him to issue a parvanah withdrawing the deeds of ownership of the Districts of Maslda and Nalah from Nawab Samsam al-Daulah Bahadur and issuing a new one in my name
