Scope and content

Press cuttings relating to Tony Curtis and to his poetic works, which include: printed poems by Tony Curtis; letters written by Tony Curtis to the press whilst he was a student at Swansea University during the 1960s; reports on poetry readings by Tony Curtis; and articles relating to the 'Dial-a-poem' scheme whereby callers dialled a certain number to hear Curtis read one of his poems (for the latter, see also under heading Lectures, talks and poetry readings by Tony Curtis).

WARNING: One press cutting, not related to Tony Curtis but kept by him possibly as composition material, contains an account of a newborn baby smothered by its teenage mother and found dead in the mother's house. Cutting kept in envelope marked 'Distressing content'.
