Sir John Cecil-williams, Hon. Secretary of the Honourable Society of Cymmrodorion, 20 Bedford Square, London WC1. Is very pleased that Huw T. Edwards is going over to the USA as Chairman of the Welsh Tourist Board on behalf of the British Travel and Holidays Association. Feels sure that he will be well received and that his visit will prove profitable. There is a need to make it clear that Wales has something different to offer from the rest of the United Kingdom and the Continental countries. The writer made this point to the Gymanfa Ganu of the USA and Canada at Washington to an audience of more than 4,000. He also addressed 400 to 500 people at Williamsburg when the plaque to Goronwy Owen was being unveiled. In addition, he gave a number of other addresses. He gained the impression that they would welcome greater co-operation from this side of the Atlantic, and feels sure that Huw T. Edwards's visit will prove beneficial.
