Two copies of a lecture given, 16 November 2004, by Tony Curtis to the Contemporary Art Society for Wales (CASW) titled 'Four Gold Medals - The 1960s', which references the four Gold Medals for Visual Art awarded by the National Eisteddfod of Wales to artists Ceri Richards, Josef Herman, David Jones and Merlyn Evans.

Draft and fair-copied copies of paper, titled 'Charles Burton: The Painting's in the Pity', given by Tony Curtis at a conference on the work of artist Ivor Davies ('Burnt Poetry': Ivor Davies and Destruction/Creation in Art and Word) held at Cardiff University, 27 February 2016 (see under section titled 'Hen Galan' at https://cardiffmemori.wordpress.com/page/4/). Drafts annotated/amended in the hands of Tony Curtis and that of his wife, Margaret Curtis.

Born in Lambourn, Berkshire, Rosemary ('Ray') Howard-Jones was a prolific painter best known for her impressionistic seascapes and paintings of the coastline of Wales, particularly of the areas on and around Skomer Island off the coast of Pembrokeshire, where she lived from 1949 to 1958. The Contemporary Art Society for Wales (CASW) was established during the 1930s by, amongst others, Welsh-born painter Augustus John and Thomas Evelyn Scott-Ellis, 8th Baron Howard de Walden of Chirk Castle, a distinguished art collector and President of the Contemporary Art Society, with the inaugural meeting of the Society taking place in 1937. Its Constitution states that '[t]he objects of the Society shall be to foster and promote the maintenance, improvement and development of artistic taste and the knowledge, understanding and appreciation of the arts among the people of Wales ...'.
