Biographical history
Douglas Bland Hague (1917-1990), was an investigator on the staff of the Royal Commission on Ancient and Historical Monuments in Wales, 1948-1981. In addition to his conventional archaeological work, he researched the history and architecture of lighthouses in Britain, and published works including Lighthouses: their Architecture, History and Archaeology (1975) and Lighthouses of Wales, published posthumously in 1994, edited by Stephen Hughes.
