A composite volume containing rentals and miscellaneous papers relating to crown rents in North Wales, comprising: a list of tenants and tenements and their chief rents in Llanfrothen, lands in Isgwyrfai, and rents in various charges, 1638 (pp. 1-42); a terrier of the King's land in Penmaen and Llysfaen viewed and written by William Lloyde of Nanlley, 1605, and the names of the jury that found the lands in Llysfaen, 4 January 17 Eliz. An incomplete copy of a tract entitled 'Controversies betweene the protest[ants and] the papists, wherein is shewed, that y[e Church] of Rome is not the true Church of God ... 1615'.

A composite volume in the hand of the Rev. Evan Evans (Ieuan Fardd) containing Welsh and English poetry (pp. 1-102, 127-207, 215-393, 497-507, 549-664), by Ieuan Fardd himself, Edward Richard, Tudur Aled and Edmwnd Prys and others, as well as extracts from Pope's Messiah (including a Welsh translation) (pp. 33, 47) and a translation from the work of Milton (pp. 215-242). One poem (pp. 153-173) is dedicated to Sir Watkin Williams Wynn. There are also extracts from Virgil's Fourth Eclogue, with Beattie's translation into English (pp. 13-28), from Dryden's translation of Virgil (109: The Song of Simeon) (pp. 103-114), from Lord Lyttelton's history of Henry II (1767) (pp. 115-125), and from 'Llyfr Plas y Ward' ('Ystori Gr: ap Cynan') (pp. 397-428); copies of letters from Dr Tancred Robinson to Robert Davies, Llannerch, and between Robert Davies and William Lloyd, bishop of St Asaph (pp. 429-451); 'A letter on British History' relating to Geoffrey of Monmouth, Humphrey Llwyd and others (pp. 461-492); a copy of a translation, 1629, by the Rev. A volume in the autograph of Evan Evans (Ieuan Fardd) containing transcripts 'From a MS. of Mr. Robert Vaughan of Hengwrt' (p. 1) and from Jesus College MS 2, including lists of rivers in England, Wales and Scotland (pp. 6-27); brief entries and extracts in Latin, Welsh and English referring chiefly to Welsh princes, bishops and saints, in some instances giving dates and pedigrees which were apparently gleaned from the Book of Llandâf (pp. 29-135); a transcript of 'Teir drut aerfa Ynys Prydain', with a translation and commentary in English (pp. 137-141); etc.

The first of two volumes (see also NLW MS 1975B) containing an account, in the autograph of Evan Evans (Ieuan Fardd), of volumes I-VII of the Sebright Manuscripts ('being Edward Lhuyd's MSS' (p. 17)), with some extracts (pp. 17-79); and the beginning of a transcript of Brut y Tywysogion from the Red Book of Hergest (pp. 81-278); etc.

A transcript in the hand of Evan Evans (Ieuan Fardd) of a tractate entitled 'Camropismus enervatus et triumphatus per Tyronem quemdam succenturiatum Evangelicae Militiae Cambro-britannum'. The original manuscript was written by William Maurice in 1653 (see f. 66 verso), is mainly Welsh and is strongly Protestant. Maurice wrote the material to combat 'False Doctrine, Altar worship & Holy days' and provides an alternative title of 'Arnodiadau gau athrawiaeth, allordduwiaeth ag uchel-wyl-iaith, y sydd wedi ei daenu hyd y gwledydd dan enw Dr. Gruffydd a Ric: Jervis y Cyfieithydd am hynny o waith tramgwyddus'.
This tractate seems never to have been printed and published, despite what appears to be a printer's/publisher's note. There is an interesting reference that reads 'cofiwch Lofft y Grog yn Llan silyn cyn ir sawdwyr dorri'r lluniau'.

The section containing triads is apparently left unfinished as most of p. 32 and the whole of p. 33 are blank.

The manuscript also contains poetry, the poets cited including Iolo Goch, Tudur Aled and Dafydd ab Edmwnd (ff. 97-119); etc.

A manuscript in the autograph of Evan Evans (Ieuan Fardd) containing a copy of Nennius's 'Eulogium Britanniæ' (ff. 1-57); notes relating to Nennius copied from a manuscript in the hand of Robert Vaughan, Hengwrt (ff. 67-88); triads copied from a manuscript in the hand of Robert Vaughan, Hengwrt, by Lewis Morris in 1738, with marginal and intertextual notes (ff. 89-112), and from the Red Book of Hergest (ff. 137-152); 'Araith Iolo Goch' (ff. 114-116); poetry, the poets cited including Aneirin, Iolo Goch and Mabclaf ap Llywarch (ff. 119-157b); etc. On f. 189 is a table of contents in a later hand. On f. iv the title page reads 'Y Cynfeirdd Cymreig, Vol. II'.
This manuscript is the source of the text of Series I of the Triads in the Myvyrian Archaiology Vol. ii, pp. 1-22. The englynion at ff. 119-122b are practically the same as those in Myvyrian Archaiology, pp. 543-547, col. i, but that the arrangement is different. The text at f. 132 was copied in September 1758 from an autograph manuscript of Edward Lhuyd. The text at f. 154 verso was transcribed from Llyfr Coch Nannau (see Mostyn MS 144) 'and collated it with my brother Lewis Morris MSS'.
