Novels,

The series consists of manuscript and typescript drafts of all of Bernice Rubens's novels published between 1960 and 1999, together with notes relating to the novels and stage and screen adaptations of them, and also a few short stories. Many of the novels were published with little emendation after one or two drafts.

The series comprises papers and records relating to the Labour Party in general, as well as to the constituency Labour Party in Newport West, and in local wards, 1991-2001.

The series contains account books for the Church, 1905-1957 and 1958-1965. Receipts include contributions by members and public collection, whilst expenditure include payments to ministers and lay preachers.

Twenty-one engagement books of St. David's, Belmont, Shrewsbury, 1941-1968. They record the various church activities, including the Sunday services, midweek meetings, women's meetings, Sunday school, boy's brigade, and the names of visiting preachers.

Deeds,

The series comprises deeds relating to the purchase of the Octagon Chapel, 1814, mortgages, 1817-1853; trust deeds, 1835-1851, and deeds relating to the purchase of part of the chapel trustee's estate by the London & North Western Railway Company, 1863-1864. The series also includes an assignment by the trustees of the Calvinistic Connection of the Rev. Philip Oliver to the trustees of the Welsh Calvinistic Connection of six chapels and other hereditaments in Cheshire, 4 December 1853.

Letters to Sam Adams (2002 Purchase),

The series comprises letters and material submitted for publication from a number of prominent literary figures to Sam Adams, 1969-1982, (with a few addressed to Meic Stephens who was the previous editor of Poetry Wales). The letters mainly discuss contributions to Poetry Wales.

Correspondence

The series comprises letters, 1964-2001, addressed to Lord Cledwyn of Penrhos, sometimes interspersed with copies of his replies. The correspondence is strongly political, much concerning his work within the House of Lords. A number refer to requests for political honours. Some of the letters refer to events in Anglesey, some from his former constituents, including invitations to attend numerous events. Some letters discuss the affairs of the University of Wales which Lord Cledwyn served as Pro-Chancellor. There are also a number of letters from the media, including requests for contributions to radio and television broadcasts and interviews. Some letters are requests from academics and students for assistance with their research projects.
