Seventeen letters, mostly in Welsh, to Saunders Lewis from Lascelles Abercrombie (2) 1926 and n.d., W. R. P. George (1) 1978, David Howell ('Llawdden') (1) 1901, R. S. Thomas (1) ?1970s, and Lewis Valentine (12) 1972-83; together with three letters, 1936-7, to Margaret Lewis from P. Mansell Jones, J. E. Jones, and Siân Williams, written during Saunders Lewis's imprisonment.

The collection comprises late nineteenth century lists, abstracts and transcripts of deeds and documents of Rhys family and Dynevor estate interest, 31 Edw. I-1720; newspaper cuttings and letters relating to Charles A. U. Rhys, 8th Baron, 1918-1930; correspondence and papers relating to the publications of the Black Raven Press, a publishing company owned by Richard Rhys, 9th Lord Dynevor, 1965-1985; and typescript scripts of productions by the Richard Rhys production company, also owned by Lord Dynevor, 1961-1982. These include works by the following playwrights: Gerald Hanley, James Hanley, Gwyn Thomas and R. S. Thomas.

Papers of Raymond Garlick, 1944-2005, comprising poetry, 1951-1999; letters, 1944-2003, from Elwyn Davies, Jonah Jones, Brenda Chamberlain, Cledwyn Hughes, A. G. Prys-Jones and others; and diaries and travel journals, 1950, 1956-1957, 1987-1998, 2000-2001. The diaries contain frequent references to his family, including his children Iestyn and Angharad, and to friends such as John Cowper Powys, Jon Dressel, R. S. Thomas and Roland Mathias.
