Papers relating to the Dyer family of Aberglasney, Marylebone, Abbess Roding, etc., 1736-1948, including a volume of poetry in the hand of William Charles Dyer, 1761-1763; copies, [19 cent., second ¼]-1854, of letters from Fanny Morgan, Wales, to the Dyer family of Marylebone; genealogical papers, 1756-1948, accumulated by W. H. D. Longstaffe; and engravings, dated 1736-1841.

Deeds relating to properties at Bryn-mawr, Llangatwg and Llanelli, Breconshire

Deeds for several leasehold properties owned by the Dukes of Beaufort, situated in King Street, Glamorgan Street, Orchard Street and Cemetery Road, Bryn-mawr, in the parishes of Llangatwg and Llanelli, co. Brecon, 1846-1889, endorsed with licences to assign, up to 1895. The properties include several cottages and houses with gardens, some of which were later divided into smaller dwellings, and a stable and coach house. The successive lessees appear to have been mostly tradesmen such as drapers, shoemakers, grocers, publicans, a postmaster, a druggist, William Evans the gas manager, and professionals such as a surgeon and a nonconformist minister. The names of several women appear, usually as executrices of the respective lessees.

Deeds of the Probyn family

Deeds relating to lands in south Wales belonging to members of the Probyn family of Newland, Gloucestershire, including Sir Edmund Probyn, his nephew John Hopkins, son of his sister Sarah, who was E.P.’s heir and took the name Probyn after his uncle’s death, and Edward Probyn the younger, 1719-1785.
