The collection includes two parchment documents: a certificate, 1876, authorizing James Davies ('Corafar') [the Revd. James Davies M.A. according to Bye-gones (1874-5), p. 123], 'Vicarial Arch-druid of America', 'to perpetuate and propagate in the western hemisphere of the world the Druidic cause' (f. 1), together with a document authorizing the establishment of a Druidic University in the United States, under James Davies' direction (f. 2). On the druidic university at Buffalo, New York, see further Young Wales, IV (1898), p. 213. The collection also includes three letters on paper, 1881-2, from Evan Davies ('Myfyr Morganwg') to J.H. Davies, New York, discussing druidism, together with a fragment of another letter in the hand of Evan Davies, possibly sent to the same recipient (ff. 3-6).

Casgliad o naw deg dau o halsingod o ardal Llandysul, Dyffryn Teifi, wedi eu copïo gan John Evan rhwng 1730 a 1733. Cyfansoddwyd y mwyafrif o'r halsingod rhwng 1654 a 1722 gydag ychydig o enghreifftiau cyfoes ar ddiwedd y gyfrol. = A collection of ninety-two carols of a religious or moral nature ('halsingod') from the Llandysul, Teifi Valley, area, transcribed by John Evan between 1730 and 1733. The majority of the poems were composed between 1654 and 1722 with a few contemporary examples included at the end of the volume.

Llawysgrif 'Hanes yr achos Methodistaidd yn Pendref' gan R[obert] C[adwaladr] Evans, wedi ei ysgrifennu ar gyfer Eisteddfod y Groglith, Dolgellau, 1913, o dan y ffug-enw 'Un Mewn Brys'. = A manuscript history of the Methodist cause in Pendref, Dolgellau, written by R[obert] C[adwaladr] Evans and submitted at Dolgellau Eisteddfod, 1913, under the pseudonym 'Un Mewn Brys'.
Mae'r llawysgrif yn adrodd hanes cynnar Methodistiaeth yn Nolgellau, sir Feirionnydd (ff. 1-3), a hanes yr Ysgol Sul a chapel a sefydlwyd ym 1887 ym Mhendref fel cangen o Gapel Salem (ff. 4-52). Bu'r awdur yn athro yn yr Ysgol Sul ers 1898. = The manuscript relates the early history of Methodism in Dolgellau, Merionethshire (ff. 1-3), and the history of the Sunday School and chapel established in 1887 at Pendref as a branch of Capel Salem (ff. 4-52). The author became a teacher at the school in 1898.

There are also miscellaneous notes on William Morgan, Robert Ferrar and the Protestant Reformation (ff. 19 verso-21). A few miscellaneous accounts, 1819, are in a different hand (f. 1 and inside the covers).
