Results of an inquisition headed by John Salesbury of Rug, undertaken in response to a petition from the tenants of Robert Dudley, Earl of Leicester in the lordship of Denbigh for a remission of revived rents, 1566. It incorporates a rental and a copy of the Earl of Leicester’s official response. It also lists the commission and jury, and the names of tenants ‘which bought Stanley’s lands’.
