Loose draft (most annotated) and fair-copied poetry by Tony Curtis. Different versions of the same poem are grouped together so that Curtis's development of the poem from initial rough draft(s) may be traced, with some poem titles changing over time (order in which drafts appear here does not necessarily reflect original development of poems). Related material is attached to one or two of the poems. Final drafts of some of the poems signed and/or dated by Tony Curtis.
The sequence of poems titled 'Tuscany Postcards' is dedicated to author and art historian Joan Abse, wife of poet and physician Dannie Abse (both Joan and Dannie Abse are also referenced in the poem titled 'The Music Lover's Literary Companion').
The poem titled 'Abandoned Barge - Colin Jones' most likely refers to the artist Colin Jones (1928-1967).
The poem titled 'Three Personages: Barbara Hepworth at Kettle's Yard' references artist and sculptor Barbara Hepworth (1903-1975).
The poem titled 'Thoughts from the Cardiff City development' is dedicated to Anglo-Welsh poet and writer John Tripp (1927-1986).
The poem titled 'Switch back west: six poems for Brendan Burns' references painter and teacher Brendan Burns.

The following are kept separately from the alphabetical sequence of loose items within marked envelopes:
Poems written in memory of landscape painter Peter Prendergast (1946-2007).
Poems titled 'Morning on the Meuse' and 'Crossing Over', with translations into French by lecturer and translator Christine Pagnoulle, and email correspondence to Tony Curtis from Christine Pagnoulle.
Rough manuscript drafts of poetry, not separated into loose individual poems, and rough notes.
