Anglo-Welsh poet and writer Dylan Thomas was born in the Uplands area of Swansea. His works include the poems 'Do not go gentle into that good night' and 'Fern Hill', the collection of prose titled 'Portrait of the Artist as a Young Dog', the autobiographical story 'A Child's Christmas in Wales', which was broadcast on radio, and perhaps Thomas's best-known work, the 'play for voices' titled 'Under Milk Wood'.
