A considerable part of the volume is devoted to extracts from the Old and New Testaments in English and Welsh (sometimes grouped together as illustrative of specified ideas or subjects - 'Iesu Grist yn Ddyn', 'Iesu Grist yn ddarostyngedig i'r Tad', 'Aberth Crist', 'Divine Unity', etc.) and lists of textual references from the two Testaments grouped under headings such as 'Mab Duw', 'Mab y Dyn', 'Meibion Duw', 'Iachawdwriaeth', 'Satan', 'Yspryd Glân', 'Crist', and similar topics. Most of the transcripts appear to have been made between 1826 and 1831, and the complete work was prepared for the press in 1834 but never published. Jones, n.d.), etc. The following note is to be found on p. 124 of item (c)1 above: 'Gorphenwn hyn, ganoldydd Llun, Myhevin 11. 1827 yn Athrova Iesu, Rhydyçain: y vi yno, pan oedd Aneurin yn çwiliaw cysysgriv [sic] o gyvreithiau Hywel Dda yno', which suggests that the transcript was made from 'Llyfr Coch Hergest'.

Two exercise books, one containing transcripts by Hannah Morris of three poems ('Yr Ardd', 1893, 'Yr Anturiaethwr', 1891, and 'Y Diluw', 1891) by her brother William Roberts ('Gwilym Berwyn'), and a covering letter relating to the same, the other containing a lyric ('Meinir Meredydd') by 'Meinwen Cennin', Blaenau Ffestiniog.

Two exercise books, one containing a poem on the year 1881 by Owen T. Davies ('Owain Machno'), a covering letter and photograph of the author, and the other an 'awdl' on Owain Glyndwr by 'Blagur y Gwyngyll', 1895.
