The collection consists of personal and family papers, 1774-1845; account books, rent books and financial papers, 1809-1847, of members of the Roberts family; papers, 1800-1848, relating to parochial and church matters in the parish of Llanrwst; correspondence, 1819-1852, addressed to Thomas Griffith Roberts concerning financial matters; receipts, 1818-1851, in relation to the payment of various taxes; receipts, bills and vouchers, 1817-1852, for various domestic accounts; and miscellanea, 1791-1885.
The fonds consists entirely of Rev. William Washington Owen's diaries. They detail daily domestic and professional events with occasional comments on national and international affairs. They were written whilst he was a minister at Tonypandy, Bedlinog, and during his retirement at Llanidloes.
