A manuscript containing the poetical works of Lewis Glyn Cothi, Tudur Aled, Tudur Penllyn, Sion Cent, Ieuan ap Tudur Penllyn, Rhys Cain and others. There is some controversy as to whether f. 137 contains work by Llewelyn ab Ieuan or by Deio ab Ieuan Du. The volume is labelled 'Odlau a Chywydda. A. 4°'.
Ff. i-ii, 137-143b are not in the same hand as the rest of the manuscript, and ff. 144b-146 are in a modern hand. Ff. 1-56 may be copied from Peniarth MS 109; the order of the poems is the same at first, but the readings do not always agree, and there are four poems in this manuscript which are not in Peniarth MS 109. Pp. 11-96 of Peniarth MS 77 are copied from this manuscript. William Salesbury or Sir T. Wiliems has written what looks like 'rhyderch ap Howel ap Dauyd' on f. 136b.

A composite manuscript volume lettered on the spine 'MSS. Collections Relative to Wales, II', being a companion volume to, and a continuation of, NLW MS 6209E, which is also a composite manuscript (sections numbered I-XIII) bound in a similar manner and lettered on the spine 'MSS. Collections Relative to Wales, I'. It appears that the two volumes originally formed one folio manuscript belonging to Edward Lhuyd made up of transcripts by his assistants, contributions by Henry Rowlands and Hugh Thomas, and fragments of earlier manuscripts (see pp. 14-15 of NLW MS 13918F, 'Catalogue of Welsh M.S.S. in Beechwood Library by the Reverend Mr John Jones [?1746-1827] M.A. Fellow of Jesus College Oxon, 1781', i.e. part of the Sebright collection. A composite volume (pp. 1-540 with two pages not numbered) containing miscellaneous notes, lists, transcripts, extracts, etc., in the hand of Edward Williams ('Iolo Morganwg'). A manuscript in two volumes containing a corpus of Welsh strict-metre verse consisting almost entirely of 'cywyddau', and a few Welsh prose items. The foliation of the 'text' (original f. 1 missing, original ff. 2-21 renumbered 1-20, a previously unnumbered folio between original ff. 21-2 now f. 21, ff. 22-623 as originally numbered with 75 twice and 265 and 577 missed out) is continuous, and the division into vol. I (ff. 1-300), now NLW MS 13061B, and vol. II (ff. 301-623), now NLW MS 13062B, occurs in the middle of a poem. Unnumbered leaves of later origin than those of the text have been inserted at the beginning and end of each volume. The manuscript, sometimes referred to as 'Y Byrdew Mawr', is in the hand of Thomas ab Ieuan of Tre'r-bryn, parish of Coychurch, co. Glamorgan, the scribe of NLW MSS 13063B, 13069B, and 13085B, and was probably transcribed in the last quarter of the seventeenth century, partly from the manuscripts of an earlier Glamorgan copyist, Llywelyn Siôn (see TLLM, tt. 95, 167-73, 218-19, 268; IM, tt. 87, 154, 264; and IMCY, tt. 81, 175). It was probably presented to Edward Williams ('Iolo Morganwg') by the copyist's grandson also named Thomas ab Ifan (see TLLM, tt. 170, 268). The folios at the end of the first volume contain an index of the bards whose works appear in both volumes. This is possibly in the hand of Hugh Maurice, tanner and copyist. On one of the added folios at the end of the second volume is a poem to the Reverend John Jones, D.D., dean of [the cathedral church of] Bangor. Both volumes contain marginalia in the hand of Edward Williams.
