A copy of a booklet entitled An Appointment and Charge for the surveyors of the highways of the several parishes, townships, and places, in the hundred of . . ., and county of . . ., with an abstract of the statutes relating thereto . . . (Welshpool, 1809). Page 3 of the booklet is in the form of a blank certificate of appointment of surveyors of highways, and, in the present instance, has been used for the appointment of William Jones of Vaynor Ucha in the hundred of Newtown (Lower division), co. Montgomery, as surveyor in that area. The appointment was made by J[oh]n Williames and Dan[ie]l Williams, at a special sessions held at Berriew, by the Justices of the Peace acting within the said hundred of Newtown (Lower division), 19 October 1811.
