Papers of Rev. R. Meirion Roberts, comprising fifty seven notebooks containing sermons in Welsh, 1946-51 and undated, most of which were delivered at Laird Street Presbyterian Church of Wales, Birkenhead; some 3,000 cards containing sermons, mainly in English, 1930s-60s; a bundle of sermons in English and Welsh, 1930s, 1950, and undated; and a few miscellaneous notes.

Some eleven booklets, containing sermons in Welsh (ff. 1-81, 135-146, 157-173) and English (ff. 86 verso-134), all undated, now bound as one volume. The English sermons and the later Welsh sermons (ff. 135-146, 157-173) appear to be fragments and drafts only. Some are, at least partly, in the hand of Robert Wynne, MA.

Some ten booklets, containing sermons and drafts and fragments of sermons in English (ff. 1-18, 32-235, 252-283) and Welsh (ff. 19-31), all undated, now bound as one volume. Some are in the hand of Robert Wynne, MA. Also included is an imperfect printed copy of Humphrey, Lord Bishop of Bangor, A Sermon Preach'd before the House of Lords, at the Abbey-Church of St. Peter's Westminster, on Thursday, the 30th of January, 1695/6, Being the Martyrdom of K. Charles I (London: John Everingham, 1696, Wing H3721) (ff. 236-251).

Sermons

Some fifteen booklets, containing sermons in Welsh (ff. 1-228, 237-251 verso) and English (ff. 229-235), now bound as one volume. The sermons were preached mostly at Llanddeiniolen and Llanbeblig, Caernarvonshire, and Llantrisant and Llechgynfarwy, Anglesey, between 1681and 1718, presumably by Robert Wynne, MA, who was instituted to Llanddeiniolen in 1679/80, Llantrisant in 1681 and Llanbeblig in 1693.
One undated funeral sermon may be by his brother Edward Wynne, MA (d. 1681), rector of Llanddyfnan (ff. 210-216 verso).

Some fourteen booklets, containing sermons in English (ff. 2-263, 277-300) and Welsh (ff. 265 verso-272 verso), now bound as one volume. The sermons are undated, with the exception of one preached at Caernarfon, March 1698/9 (ff. 27-49). Most are presumably the work of Robert Wynne, MA.

All are undated with the exception of a sermon preached on 27 June 1675 (f. 49 verso); the same sermon bears the signature of Robert Wynne, MA (f. 48), and this and others may be partially in his hand.

Some eleven booklets containing sermons in English, now bound as one volume. The sermons are in several hands, possibly including that of Robert Wynne, MA, whose name is signed on f. 97. Most are undated, however the name Robert Hughes and the date 10 August 1668, 'Silferton in Deuonshire neer the Citty of Exceter', appear on f. 17 verso; and the name Griffith Williams, 1673, and the direction 'for Mr Lewis Jones Rector att Llandwrrog neare Carnarvon, to be left at Mr Lewis Davies in Carn:' are on f. 33.

Three sermons are in Welsh and were preached at Pistill and Edern, Caernarvonshire, between 1691 and 1718, [possibly by Robert Wynne, MA] (ff. 4-60); the remaining sermon, in English, is in a different hand (ff. 61-82).
